- Preguntar Where is…? y Where are…?
- Describir la posición de objetos y personas
- Combinar las preposiciones con there is / there are
1. Las preposiciones
| Inglés | Español | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| in | dentro de, en | The pen is in the box. |
| on | encima de, sobre (tocando) | The book is on the table. |
| under | debajo de | The cat is under the bed. |
| next to | al lado de | The lamp is next to the sofa. |
| behind | detrás de | The ball is behind the door. |
| in front of | delante de | The car is in front of the house. |
| between | entre (dos cosas) | The bank is between the café and the shop. |
| opposite | enfrente de | The school is opposite the park. |
2. Preguntar dónde está
- Where is (Where’s) my bag? – It’s under the desk.
- Where are my shoes? – They’re next to the door.
3. Describir una habitación
Ejemplo
There’s a bed next to the window. There are some books on the shelf. My trainers are under the bed.
there is / there are + preposición + lugar.
Recuerda
- in (dentro), on (encima), under (debajo).
- next to, behind, in front of, between, opposite.
- Where is…? – It’s… / Where are…? – They’re…
- between = entre dos cosas: between A and B.
